This beautiful, wild captive bird from Mexico was legally imported here from Mexico back in the 1970′s after loosing the love of her life, (Beito), at a young age, due to electrocution on the power lines. Soon after… Coming to the USA to live with the same woman for the next 22 years, until she passed away. Pepe then became a family members responsibility. Pepe had never been taught to play or be handled, due to fear since she always had the wild instinct, and smart enough to fool her companions into getting her way, and was even un-cageable for almost three years. Pepe represented an extension of her Mother when she passed on. Pepe’s last caretaker still loved her very much. This is obvious in her outstanding vocal social skills. It is obvious she was spoken to, kindly and with respect. (Pepe’ does not cuss, and has a huge vocabulary, because she speaks new words every few days, that we did not teach her.) My guess would be possibly ??? 300 words? + 100 sound effects including chickens, dogs,(howl, bark, growl) cats, lazer toys, ducks, cries like a baby …
